Claire Lyons is a Chicago based fashion designer. Graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she loves pattern making, designing, embellishing everything, and making people laugh here and there. Her love for creating dance costumes began when she was 15 years old when she started her own dance costuming business. It is still deeply rooted within her creative practice of fashion design and is something she enjoys going back to. In the mean time, she finds excitement in working with experimental materials such as party ribbon and tinsel, to create her own textiles! Claire has worked as a seamstress at the number one luxury bridal boutique in Chicago, Mira Couture. She also has worked as a tailor at Burberry, and prides herself in creating high quality garments for those who like to show off and stand out in a crowd.
